Gene DeBoer, CPA Shareholder Gene graduated from Dordt College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.  He is the firm's founding shareholder and CEO.  He has worked in public accounting for 31 years.  Gene has specialty areas in income tax planning and compliance work, auditing employee benefit plans and non-profit entities, banking, construction, service industries, restaurants and, manufacturing and distribution. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.  Gene serves on several non-profit boards of trustees and is active in the Rotary Club of Omaha.
Chery DeBoer, CPA Shareholder Chery graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. She has worked in public accounting as a CPA for 31 years.  Chery is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Nebraska Society of CPAs, and currently serves on the Quality Review committee for the Nebraska Society of CPAs.  Chery is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Chris Wassenaar, CPA Shareholder Chris graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Science.  Chris started in 2002 with DeBoer & Associates, PC and became a shareholder in 2009. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Nebraska Society of CPAs.  Chris is also active in the Gretna Optimist Club.
Colleen Reicks, CPA CPA Colleen graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in accounting.  She started working at DeBoer & Associates, PC in 2008.  Colleen specializes in small business accounting and QuickBooks.
Eryn Stevens, CPA CPA Eryn graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.  She started at DeBoer & Associates, PC as an intern in 2007 and became a full-time staff member in 2008.  Eryn  received her CPA certification in 2011.
Patty Dettman Administrative Assistant Patty has been with DeBoer & Associates, PC for 17 years!  She is involved in client bookkeeping and payroll services along with other office duties.
Janette Christopherson Administrative Assistant Janette has been with DeBoer & Associates, PC for 3 years.  She assists customers on the telephone, at the front counter, and behind the scenes.
Bryan Geels Accountant Bryan graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems. Bryan started in 2011 with DeBoer & Associates, PC.  Bryan is currently working toward his CPA certification.
Kathy Papadopoulos Accountant Kathy graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and a minor in French. She started at DeBoer & Associates, PC as an intern in 2009 and became a full-time staff member in 2011. Kathy is currently working toward her CPA certification.
Joanne Walde CPA Joanne graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  She worked previously at DeBoer & Associates, PC in the late 1990’s and has returned in 2011.
